Aylesbury United FC, nicknamed The Ducks, is the town's senior football club and plays in the Southern League Division One Central. The club was founded in 1897 and has a long non-league history, including a 1988 friendly against England that drew a still-standing attendance record, and a win over Southend United in the 1989-90 FA Cup.

The club's former home, Buckingham Road, was demolished in 2020, and Aylesbury United has since groundshared at The Meadow in Chesham. From April 2026 the club is moving towards a fan-owned model through the supporters' trust 21st Century Ducks.

Aylesbury United acts as an umbrella club, with sections covering men's football, women's football, junior age groups, and walking football, alongside the senior first team.
